Covington Brewhouse

Anonymous IPA

It's the type of beer that's always a step ahead, playing games with your taste buds, eluding your expectations before you can even articulate them. It's a beer that refuses to be written off, teasing you with a heady sip of hops before surprising you with a smooth, malty finish. So, sit back and enjoy the show.

Kölsch

Offered year round, Kölsch is a light and crisp golden German-style beer brewed in the finest traditions of the classic German Brewmasters. Traditionally brewed in Cologne, Germany, our version is similar to the classic Kölsch, but brewed and aged more in the Bavarian Style of a Kellerbier. Kellerbier (or Zwickelbier) is a beer natural carbonated and packed direct from the aging tank, without filtration or pasteurizing of the finished product. Our Kölsch is warm fermented with Lager yeast and then cold-aged, or Lagered. Because our Kölsch is unfiltered and has natural brewer's yeast remaining, it is not only very tasty and refreshing but is also a natural source of vitamin B. It is less bitter than the standard German pale lager and has a prominent, but not extreme, hoppiness. Kölsch goes well with seafood, lamb, salads, and spicy foods.

Pontchatrain Pilsner

Combining the creaminess of an American Pilsner with the flavorful taste of its Old World German counterpart, this refreshing local take on the classic style is perfect to enjoy by itself or paired with fresh seafood dishes. Light in body with the beautiful golden straw color that is a hallmark of the genre, Pontchartrain Pilsner's thoughtfully crafted blend of German Northern Brewer, Hallertauer Perle and Spalter hops imbue it with a wonderful mellow aroma, complemented by a smooth, lightly hopped finish.

Bayou Bock

This full-bodied lager is our interpretation of a classic Bavarian Heller Maiboch, a style known for its well balanced, easy-drinking character. Distinguished by its rich medium-to-dark golden color, sweet, malty aroma, and delicate, flowery hop finish, Bayou Bock makes for a perfect accompaniment to a wide range of cuisine.

Strawberry Ale

This year-round-beer favorite combines genuine strawberry puree with a classic Cream Ale to create a uniquely flavorful experience. Strawberry Ale is superb with salads and desserts, or alone as a refreshing treat.
